Hello! My name is Kristal Jacobson, a web designer and developer in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been building websites for over ten years and working in the design industry for more than five.

I was introduced to computers at the age of seven when my father brought home our first family computer. By the time I was nine, I had my own personal computer and several programs to spark my creative talent.

While attending New Technology High School in Napa, CA, my design skills where improved in the Multimedia Design Class, where I was introduced to the world of graphic design and website development. Through NTHS, I received the Marshall McLuhan Scholarship to attend Ex'pression College for Digital Arts where I majored in Digital Visual Media including graphic design, video production, website creation, and 3D animation. My goal upon entering the program was to become an animator, but during the program I really enjoyed the problem solving involved with programming.

My career began in the Marketing Department at MBH Architects, an architectural firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. When the firm decided to redevelop their website, I happily took on the task . The website was a big success and won several awards. It also re-ignited my desire to work in the web industry. I wanted to work for a company that would allow me to work on websites professionally.

Up until recently, I worked at Pinnacle, a marketing communications company, where I managed over 50 e-commerce Variable Data Print (VDP) stores as well as designed marketing collateral for a multitude of clients.
